Community Update

The La Pine Community Health Center (LCHC) will no longer serve as the medical sponsor to the La Pine School Based Health Center located at 51627 Coach Road after October 2, 2026. 

LCHC has made the difficult decision to conclude services at this location after 10 years of ongoing collaboration with Bend-La Pine Schools and Deschutes County Health Services.  LCHC’s last day of patient care at the La Pine School Based Health Center location will be Friday, October 2, 2026. The School-Based Health Center partners will be recruiting for a new medical sponsor. Until a new medical provider is hired, the La Pine School Based Health Center will have altered service hours as outlined below. 

• Behavioral Health care services will remain open. To access behavioral health care, referrals can continue to be sent from school counselors utilizing the standard referral process. Students and families can also call the Deschutes County Behavioral Health (DCBH) main line without a school     referral and request an assessment for school-based services. DCBH Main line: 541-322-7500.
• Women’s Infants, and Children (WIC) program will remain open.  To access WIC services, call     541-322-7435.

• Physical health care services at this location will be closed until a new medical sponsor is onboarded.  

• Patients and others in need of care are welcome to continue to be seen at LCHC’s main     location.
