This position is located at the La Pine Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center, in La Pine, Oregon.  The clinic provides primary care services to uninsured, underinsured, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insured patients.

La Pine, Oregon, population about 1600, is located about 30 miles south of Bend Oregon, population about 85,000.  The center serves a large geographical area covering southern Deschutes, northern Klamath and western Lake counties, containing about 25,000 people.  The area is renowned for its outdoor recreation opportunities such as snow skiing, water sports, hiking, camping, rock climbing, biking, fishing, and much more.

They assist health care providers with routine medical procedures. They assist in delivery of primary care in an ambulatory setting with emphasis on prevention and health maintenance. The Per-diem Certified Medical Assistant functions in accordance with established policies and procedures within their scope of practice. This position reports to the Medical Provider, Medical Director and the Medical Support Manager.

The Non-Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for understanding the use of and maintenance of medical equipment, medications, and electronic health records. They assist health care providers with routine medical procedures. They assist in delivery of primary care in an ambulatory setting with emphasis on prevention and health maintenance. The Non-Certified Medical Assistant functions in accordance with established policies and procedures within their scope of practice. This position reports to the Medical Provider, Medical Director and the Medical Support Manager.

Non-Clinical Positions:



 

Health Center Assistant - La Pine Location

The Health Center Assistant will help with the coordination of the day-to-day operations of the health center's site(s). This person will work with the organization's employees, patients, community partners, and local state organizations. This position requires a self-starter that needs very little input to accomplish the work. Some of the primary duties will be to work with the management team to coordinate schedules of providers and support staff, perform the credentialing for the clinical staff and insurance companies and assist with administrative duties. This position is an administrative position and does not involve medical decision-making or supervisory responsibilities. This position is responsible for highly sensitive matters and the incumbent must maintain confidentiality.
